Proper Identification
Candidates are required to bring two (2) forms of official, signature-bearing identification to the test site (one of which must be a photo identification). Photocopies of identification will NOT be accepted. Examples of proper identification include current, not expired: Primary ID (Photograph and signature, not required)
- Government-issued Driver’s license
- U.S. Department of State Driver’s License
- U.S. Learner’s Permit (plastic card only with photo and signature) 13
- National/State/Country ID card • Passport
- Passport Card
- Military ID
- Military ID for spouses and dependents
- Alien Registration Card (Green Card, Permanent Resident Visa)
Secondary ID (Signature, not expired)
- U.S Social Security
- Debit (ATM) card or Credit Card
- Any form of ID on the Primary List
- State-issued identification card
- Employment authorization document (EAD) photo identification card (current, no-expired, federal-issued)
The name on your identification must be the same as the name you used on the application to register for the examination. If your name is different, you MUST bring proof of name change (a copy of an official document such as a marriage license or divorce decree) to the test center.
If you do not bring proper identification, you will not be allowed to test and your examination fee will not be refunded.
